Makita Power Tools are known the world over for their high quality products which are admired and used by professionals in all trades.

Makita has provided tools and equipment as prizes to the SPEED Mechanic of the Meeting for the last 2 seasons and this relationship continues in the 2011 SPEED EuroSeries championship. The prize is awarded to a representative of the team adjuged by the SPEED organisers to have achieved a notable amount of effort above that normally expected. This is not necessarily for the team of the winning car – indeed, it is often awarded to those engineers who have struggled through adversity to help get their car to the end of the race!
